Welcome to Los Angeles! In the summer of '97 liegt Brian on his bed, seinen Gedanken
nachhängend. His parents, they want him to study Jura oder medicine. Doch viel lieber
möchte Brian his talent as rock musician ausbauen. Nun sieht er sich On the Threshold Of
Change - An der Schwelle zu Veränderungen.
Auf andere Gedanken bringen ihn his friends, der quirlige Darryl und die burschikose Charlie. They pla< with the different styles and kreieren den HipRock in Rap Around The Clock und bringen ihn dazu to come to a HipHop-Party with them. Brian erfährt außerdem, that VanDyke Entertainment is looking nach neuen Talenten for a Herbst Rock Wettbewerb um Studioverträge. At the party trifft Brian denn TJ, a rapper mit guten Beziehungen in der Musikbranche, und lernt dessen girl-friend, die HipHop-Musikerin Ronnie, kennen. Begegnungen, die not without Folgen bleiben sollen... I Wonder - Ich frag' mich. And Darryl is fascinated von der hübschen Charise, schwärmt von ihr Like An Idol, worauf sich Charlie enttäuscht her feelings for Darryl eingesteht You Can Count On Me - Auf mich kannst Du zählen. Ronnie hat zu Hause Probleme with her father, weil der den Tod seiner Frau with alcohol zu verwinden versucht. Nothing But Misery - Nichts als Gram sieht er, der früher erfolgreiche Musiker. And also TJ makes trouble: Freunde haben ihm erzählt, Ronnie would have flirted with Brian at the party. Er dreht durch, worauf Ronnie von ihm lossagt - On My Own. Während Brian signs up for the audition with the Plattenboß Vincent VanDyke faßt Charlie dank der Hilfe ihrer Freundinnen neuen Mut, denn He'll soon find out - Darryl würd schon bals herausfinden, was er an ihr hat. Unterdessen zieht die crisis in the relationchip between Ronnie und TJ Kreise: The girls in TJ's group ergreifen Partei für Ronnie und fordern ihre Freunde heraus - A Woman Ain't No Plaything. Darryl ist Charise' Reizen mittlerweile so sehr verfallen, wie sie ihn benutzt, to get TJ's attention. Charlie sieht sich totally helpless. Als kurz vor einem wichtigen Auftritt the guitar player from Ronnie's band cancels, kommt ihr eine Idee, wie Brian could help her... There's Something About You - Du hast etwas an Dir. |

Make It! - Das sagen sich nun alle, ihre Ziele und Träume fest vor Augen.
Ronnie's idea Brian betreffend hat nicht nur for her positive effects. Damon bekommt unexpected Gesellschaft zu A Song For The Three Of Us. Auch Charlie will nicht länger tatenlos bleiben und schmiedet Pläne to kill two birds with one stone. Come Closer - Komm näher singen Ronnie and her girls auf ihrem concert and they are erfolgreich. This makes TJ angry und davon profitiert Charise, denn Wie wär's - How About It? Even Darryl trifft die richtige Entscheidung in the end. And together with Brian hat Damon es nicht mehr schwer aus his misery zu entkommen, denn es ist ja Nothing At All. Und wenn das Leben den Beat angibt, all you gotta do is: Fühl' und enjoy the Vi- Vi- Vi- Vibrations!!! |
